KPCC wrestles with news decisions every day that affect the news you hear on air and read about online. In the past, we’ve asked you how we’ve done through surveys and Facebook queries but we recognize the importance of hearing from you in-person.
In an effort to continue our transparent news process, we’re opening the doors of our newsroom to the public. Each conversation in our “Open Newsroom” series will begin with members’ of the KPCC news team addressing a specific newsroom concern/issue; and sharing insights as to how we’ve tackled it in the past and what we’re working on now. Then, we turn it to you – the audience – town hall-style – for input, thoughts, and advice on ways we can improve our coverage of the topics that matter most to you.
On Tuesday, September 6th at 7pm in The Crawford Family Forum, KPCC’s Washington, D.C. Correspondent
Kitty Felde was joined by colleagues
Nick Roman, Managing Editor; and
Cheryl Devall, Senior News Editor to kick off the series with a conversation about covering disasters in the Southland.
