Jerry Beck presents UPA: Magoo, McBoing Boing & Modern Art

As part of Animation Tuesdays at Cinefamily, cartoon historian Jerry Beck presents the animated works of United Productions of America (UPA). The L.A.-based studio revolutionized the animation world forever with its hyper-stylized graphics and garnered much critical acclaim for their work during the '50s. The presentation includes showings of their adaptations of James Thurber’s “Unicorn In The Garden” and Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Tell Tale Heart, along with a selection of other UPA industrial and commercial films. Tickets are $10 and free for members.
