KPCC’s Steve Martin hosted an evening of live music and conversation with Los Angeles-based artist Dorian Wood, whose “vocal charisma… befit[s] a preacher… [and whose] experimental streak … would make avant-gardists swoon" (WNYC Culture). Dorian brought the CFF a sound that’s held audiences captive from street corner to concert hall to performance space throughout the US, Mexico and Europe – a marrying of troubadour balladry with the avant-garde evident in his solo stylings and his contributions to “Killsonic”’s 30-piece experimental orchestra.
