Furious Theater Company

An epic battle of good vs. evil

Part play and part graphic novel, “No Good Deed” is Furious Theatre Company’s latest effort and opened at [Inside] the Ford on January 21. The self-described gritty and savagely humorous show is a live-on-stage action adventure.

“No Good Deed” follows protagonist Josh Jaxon, an inspiring graphic novelist, who lends a good deed to a classmate—which turns out to be more trouble than it’s worth. He takes on the alter ego of own illustration, “Hellbound Hero,” as he battles junk news and media hype's attempt to thwart the efforts of real-life heroes.

Furious’ playwright-in-residence Matt Pelfrey wrote “No Good Deed.” It was directed by Dámaso Rodriguez and features illustrations by Ben Matsuya.

The show features Furious Ensemble members Nick Cernoch, Katie Marie Davies, Dana Kelly, Jr., Shawn Lee and Robert Pescovitz.

“No Good Deed” is part of [Inside] the Ford’s three-play series highlighting Los Angeles-based theater companies.

Ticket prices vary from pay-what-you-can to $25.
