"L.A Rising: SoCal Artists Before 1980" book cover
Spend an evening with Lyn Kienholz, author of the book "L.A Rising: SoCal Artists Before 1980," who joins very special guests in conversation about the rise of the Los Angeles art scene and the Pasadena Art Museum.
Kienholz’s book tells the story in images of the formation and development of Los Angeles’ art scene. This comprehensive book compiles historical reviews and stories of exhibitions to accompany the more than 900 photographs of nearly 500 artists’ works from this seminal time period in LA art.
Lyn Kienholz founded and currently presides over the California/International Arts Foundatio and is an active leader in international arts advocacy. She has served on the boards of the Los Angeles Institute of Contemporary Art, the SPACES Board, and the Galef Institute promoting national school reform.
Program is included in museum admission.
