KPCC hosted a special screening of Wings, the very first Academy Award winner for Best Picture. This 1927 silent film is a heart-wrenching love story set in the Army Air Corps during WWI. It's a must-see for film-lovers and history buffs! After the screening, KPCC's Larry Mantle moderated a discussion with special guest William Wellman, Jr.*. An accomplished actor and director, Wellman is also the biographer and son of the critically acclaimed director of Wings.
