Bob and the Monster - Film screening and conversation
Bob Forrest made his name in L.A.’s mid-80’s/early-90’s rock scene, singing and writing for cult bands Thelonious Monster and The Bicycle Thief. It was a name built on, destroyed by, and raised again by drug addiction. On Wednesday, July 18, The Crawford Family Forum showed “Bob and the Monster”*, a film documentary chronicling Bob Forrest’s life before and after heroin and rock ‘n’ roll. KPCC’s Stephanie O’Neill moderated a pre-screening talk about divergent approaches to addiction treatment with Bob Forrest, producer/director Keirda Bahruth, and Klean Treatment Center CEO/”KLEAN Radio” host Andrew Spanswick.
