Seventh-generation artist Kaumakaiwa Kanaka’ole is a distinct voice of Hawai’i, blazing a new trail while paying homage to those who have come before him.
On slack key guitar and vocals, four-time Grammy winner George Kahumoku Jr. comes together with Keoki Kahumoku (slack key guitar), Bobby Ingano (slide steel guitar), and “Uncle” Richard Ho’opi’i (ukelele and Hawai’ian falsetto) to share music, stories, culture, and joy for everyone from keiki (kids) to kupuna (elders).

California Plaza, the home site of Grand Performances, is part of the Grand Avenue Cultural Corridor just blocks from Disney Hall and home to the Museum of Contemporary Art.
