This free, self-guided community event takes place on the second Thursday of every month.

It takes place around the Historic Core and Old Bank Districts in Downtown Los Angeles. The walk includes more than 40 galleries and showcases the best artists, photography, restaurants, bars and shops, and businesses in the area.
According to the official website, "Many of The Downtown Art Walk activities take shape in and around the galleries predominantly on Spring and Main streets between 2nd and 9th streets. However, there is a plethora of art related events and openings, activities, and special programming that take place all over downtown."
For those who wish to appreciate and/or buy art, arriving early allows for a more relaxing experience in the galleries and exhibits. As the evening progresses, more people arrive and meet up with friends or simply savor the local experience. Make your experience easier by generating your own Art Walk Map. Hours: Vary by gallery, but usually range from noon to 10 pm.
Parking: There are many convenient and affordable parking lots.
