Marianne Williamson, author, activist, lecturer and teacher in the world of spiritual self-help, has added to her impressive list of publications with her latest book, The Law of Divine Compensation: On Work, Money, and Miracles. In it she writes about the spiritual principles that can help people find the balance between financial hardship and fortune. Her teachings of self-love and the power of a positive mindset have made her a popular guest on shows such as Oprah, Larry King Live, The Howard Stern Show and Charlie Rose. In 1989 Williamson founded Project Angel Food, a meal delivery service in Los Angeles that has served over eight million meals to people homebound with AIDS. She also founded The Peace Alliance, a group which supports legislation to create a United States Department of Peace. Currently Williamson holds a weekly lecture series in Los Angeles and is a contributor on the XM radio show “Oprah and Friends.” A guru to many interested in spirituality, Williamson's words resonate with her faith in God's promise of prosperity and the need to embrace, not fear, the future. Marianne joined KPCC's Lauren Osen in the Crawford Family Forum to share the ideas behind The Law of Divine Compensation.
