Lost Moon Radio: Science + Technology

Jason Georges/KPCC

Ever wonder about life on other planets? Or the sexual preferences of ghosts? So has radio host Rand LeBeau. On his show The Phenomenal Universe, Rand investigates both explained and unexplained occurrences while fielding questions from some unusual callers. In his latest episode, Rand finds himself broadcasting in a thunderstorm that calls into question everything he knows about science, pseudoscience and his own dark past. Will Rand survive the night in one piece?

Brought to you by Lost Moon Radio, this hour of original comedy is part sketch show, part rock concert and part radio broadcast. It's a “stylishly executed pseudo radio show with an endearing local slant and perfect, engaged comedic timing that it utterly energizing.” (The LAist). From Darwin's diary to artificial intelligence to the Higgs Boson particle, no aspect of human progress is safe as Lost Moon Radio turns its satiric eye to the themes of science and technology. This "taut and energetic" (Los Angeles Magazine) show will send you home singing the periodic table and wondering why you ever stopped playing with your microscope set.

This show was followed by Live Band Karaoke featuring The Moon Units!
