Host Mat Kaplan and Planetary Society CEO Bill Nye the Science Guy will welcome singer/songwriter Peter Mayer.

The Crawford Family Forum hosted The Planetary Society to present an evening at the crossroads of science, nature, and music.  Host Mat Kaplan and Planetary Society CEO Bill Nye the Science Guy welcomed singer/songwriter Peter Mayer.  The Minnesotan has been called a magician and a master storyteller.  What’s just short of miraculous is how Peter captures the wonder of the cosmos in much of his music. Former Minnesota Public Radio host Dale Connelly says Peter, "does nothing less than address the very nature of our existence...Trust me, most songwriters can’t pull this off. Peter Mayer does."

Audience members also joined the live “What’s Up” space trivia contest with astronomer Bruce Betts, while Planetary Evangelist Emily Lakdawalla delighted and amazed with some of the most awe-inspiring space images ever captured.
