Praised as "one of the rare public radio shows that's actually funny" (Huffington Post), "Wits" is coming to Los Angeles as part of The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books' new Festival After Dark series. Wits "deftly balances sketch comedy, interviews, and music all underscored by hilarious improv led by host John Moe" and is "on course to become a national hit" (USA Today).
This LA show will feature comedians and actors Margaret Cho (as seen in 30 Rock, and co-starring in an upcoming Tina Fey comedy) and Paul F. Tompkins (as heard on Comedy Bang! Bang! and host of the Speakeasy web series) with music guests Superchunk (beloved for their "delicious noise and sugar-crusted hooks -Rolling Stone) and Will Sheff of Okkervil River (called by Pitchfork "one of indie rock's most ambitious thinkers).
