A New Broadcast Center

Los Angeles

Southern California Public Radio's $27 million capital campaign to build a state-of-the-art Broadcast Center and Forum will make SCPR the Southland's "Town Hall for the 21st Century."

What difference can a building make? For SCPR, it's the difference between standing still and moving forward.

Our new Broadcast Center and Forum, located at 474 South Raymond Avenue in Pasadena, will feature:

» studios and editing suites using the latest digital broadcast and online technologies
» new media studios supporting emerging technologies like HD, Wi-Fi and podcasting
» space for a growing staff to collaborate and innovate
» an environmentally sustainable and LEED-certified building, the "greenest" public radio station in the country
» a multi-purpose Forum where people can discuss current issues, where programs can be broadcast before audiences, and where community groups can gather

The Broadcast Center is an investment in the nuts and bolts of radio, but also in SCPR's core purpose: public service programming that makes a difference. These new studios will enable SCPR's journalists to work in a place that fosters creativity, collaboration and — most importantly — the ability to engage and serve a growing and diverse audience in the Southland.
