Tuesday, August 18th marked the official groundbreaking of SCPR’s new Broadcast Center & Forum. Over 75 people were in attendance, including Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard and SCPR Board Members Louise Bryson, Gordon Crawford, Adelaide Hixon, Julian Poon, Connie Rice, Virgil Roberts and Marilyn Sutton.
AirTalk host Larry Mantle kicked off the evening with opening remarks, followed by SCPR Board Chairman Gordon Crawford, acting PCC President Dr. Lisa Sugimoto and Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard. SCPR President Bill Davis closed the evening’s ceremonies. After the remarks, guests were invited to tour the construction site and see the tremendous progress that has already been made.
