In-Depth, Independent News

Los Angeles

If high-quality, award-winning news coverage has been possible with SCPR's overcrowded existing facility, imagine the potential our new state-of-the-art Broadcast Center creates.

Our new Broadcast Center will make it possible for SCPR to:

» add another locally produced program to a lineup that includes AirTalk® with Larry Mantle, Patt Morrison and Off-Ramp with John Rabe
» take advantage of technical resources that will enable our journalists to provide more timely and relevant reporting and analysis
» interact with our audience in a more meaningful way, incorporating your insight and intelligence into our news coverage and discussion

In recent years, media consolidation has become the norm, creating a gap in local news coverage-and growing concerns about editorial independence. Southern California Public Radio's independent editorial voice reflects the priorities and perspectives of the communities we serve. SCPR's local management, board leadership and connection to the region's civic and cultural leaders keep the spotlight firmly on the Southland.

When you help fund physical and technological improvements at SCPR, you're empowering Southern Californians with comprehensive news and information, both from the KPCC newsroom and NPR bureaus around the world.
