California is a world leader in jobs for film, TV and video production. Recent estimates find 159,000 people work in these industries across the state, generating near two-thirds of the money earned in this sector nationwide.
But those jobs are a battleground. Most U.S. states now offer incentives to attract film and TV production, hoping to ultimately lure talented employees, production facilities and creative effort away from Southern California.
