Mayor Eric Garcetti is in Washington, D.C., this week to lobby for Los Angeles River and public transportation projects.
"We're at a key moment in our efforts to restore the L.A. River, and I am making it clear to Washington that L.A. deserves Alternative 20, the most robust option and the only one that equitably shares costs. And I will push for the federal funding necessary to expand our transit system to cut traffic," Garcetti said in a statement.
