Twenty years ago, rioters destroyed parts of Los Angeles and dozens of people were killed in the violence after a jury acquitted police officers charged with beating Rodney King. Whether you call it a riot, civil unrest, or uprising, the events of April 29, 1992 left a lasting mark on the people of Southern California.
