Sandra Day O’Connor: "That I would put all my effort in at the front end to try to understand the case and do the best I could to reach a decision, make it, and not look back, and I’ve tried to do that throughout my judicial career. President Ronald Reagan nominated O’Connor to the nation’s highest court 28 years ago. Since she retired three years ago, she’s promoted civic education OurCourts.org.
