The Los Angeles County Arts Commission is sponsoring a free “arts tune-up.” A lot of artists would be the first to admit they could benefit from a more management savvy. Saturday at the Glendale Civic Auditorium, it’ll be there for the taking.
Experts in different arts management areas will offer 25-minute presentations at tables around the room. After 25 minutes, participants move to other tables, depending on their interests, for the next presentation.
All this goes on from 10 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon. Topics include marketing, health insurance, indie production for musicians, and legal issues for artists and writers.
There’s also a series of topics for arts groups with small budgets. The arts commission recommends registering ahead of time online.
