Inglewood police circulate sketch of attempted kidnapper

Inglewood police today circulated a composite sketch of a man who tried to kidnap a 9-year-old boy who was walking home from school last month.

"The suspect attempted to grab the victim by force," said Inglewood police Lt. Mike McBride. "As the suspect was chasing the victim, he yelled, 'Get in the car!' The victim was able to get away from the suspect, saw the suspect get into a vehicle and drive eastbound on 108th street."

The attempted abduction occurred on Oct. 14 about 2:30 p.m. The man was described as Hispanic, 20-27 years old, 5 feet 9 to 6 feet tall, with a slender build. He was missing some teeth, ahd a bald or shaved head, and wore all black clothing. The vehicle was described as a gray, older model four-door Toyota Camry or Cressida, possibly a 1984 model.
