Police want to question the man pictured in this surveillance clip.
SHERMAN OAKS - Police sought a man in connection with a shooting at a nightclub that critically wounded another man on Nov. 13.
Investigators are looking for a man shown in a surveillance photo wearing a light blue-shirt and light-blue pants who was seen inside Smiley’s restaurant, 13615 Ventura Boulevard, prior to the shooting, police said.
Detectives believe that the man was involved in a fight and shooting. He was last seen getting into the passenger side of a getaway car described as a late-model, light-color Honda or Toyota.
The car was last seen traveling west on Ventura Boulevard.
Just before 2 a.m., the victim was standing outside the restaurant and was confronted by two men.
A fight broke out and one of the men wrestled the victim to the ground and shot him in the head with a large caliber pistol, according to the LAPD.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
A short time later, an unidentified man suffering from a gunshot wound was dropped off at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank. Detectives are trying to determine if the two incidents are related.
Anyone with information was asked to call LAPD Van Nuys Area homicide detectives at (818) 374-1917/1918.
