Big rig jackknifes on 118 Freeway, spilling oil

GRANADA HILLS - A big rig jackknifed on the eastbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway in Granada Hills today, spilling some oil onto the roadway and blocking the eastbound lanes, authorities said.

The accident was reported west of the San Diego (405) Freeway about 9:10 a.m., the CHP reported.

The eastbound lanes were blocked while crews worked to clear the scene, a closure that was continuing nearly an hour later.
