Man arrested in San Jacinto home-invasion robbery

A 47-year-old man was arrested in connection with a home-invasion robbery on Appian Way in San Jacinto.

Howard Jerome Callier was booked into the Smith Correctional Facility on charges including first-degree robbery, making criminal threats, and violating the conditions of his parole.

He was arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred this morning just before 9 a.m.

The victim reported that a 40-year-old black man had forced his way into the home. Once inside, the suspect placed a screwdriver to the homeowner’s throat and demanded money. The suspect forced the homeowner to various parts of the house.

The suspect left the house and the homeowner called 911. Police searched the neighborhood and found a man that fit the description of the suspect.

Police said they found stolen items and a wallet belonging to the homeowner.
