This week kicks off the busiest traveling time of the year. People who pass through John Wayne Airport in Orange County will be traveling through a bit of a construction zone.

John Wayne Airport is smack in the middle of building a new Terminal C and parking structure. That means lanes will be closed now and then and parking may be a bit harder to find.

The busiest travel days this week? Wednesday – that’s the day before Thanksgiving – and Sunday, when everyone’s returning from the long holiday weekend.

Last November, nearly 650,000 passengers traveled through John Wayne Airport. That number will likely be a little bit higher this year.
