South Gate police chase stolen car, leading to crash

South Gate police today chased a stolen car to Lynwood, where the vehicle crashed and the driver was arrested.
The chase began about 6:40 a.m. at Long Beach Boulevard and Southern Avenue. It ended two minutes later at California and Beechwood avenues, where the Toyota Camry crashed, said South Gate police Lt. F. Arocha.

The driver suffered minor injures and was taken to a hospital for treatment, Arocha said. His name was not immediately released.
