Lucas, Burnett, among inductees to California Hall of Fame

On Dec. 1, George Lucas, Carol Burnett and Danielle Steel will be walking the red carpet. No, it isn't a premiere of a new space-age romantic comedy in Hollywood. It's a ceremony honoring the new inductees into the Hall of Fame at the California Museum in Sacramento.
Other honorees include Andy Grove, one of the first employees at Intel and athelete Rafer Johnson, founder of the Special Olympics.

Gay rights activist Harvey Milk also made this years list, as did former Governor Hiram Johnson and Joe Weider. Never heard of him before? He's the bodybuilder who first brought Arnold Schwarzenegger to California.
Some critics have said Weider never would have made it on the list had he not been a friend of the Governor and his wife, Maria Shriver.
The two do make the final selection of inductees each year. But, Ashley Robinson of the California Museum, insists there is no favoritism at play.
