LA Live skating rink opens Thursday
An outdoor ice skating rink will open at L.A. Live Thursday with performances by LeAnn Rimes, Sheila E. and the E Family and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
The 70-foot by 50-foot rink can accommodate 200 skaters and will remain open through Dec. 31.
The L.A. Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. Live will be ope from 4 p.m. to midnight weekdays and 11 a.m. to midnight weekends through Dec. 17, and 11 a.m.-midnight daily from Dec. 18-31.
Admission is $10, which includes skate rental. Admission for active military and seniors is $5. Los Angeles Auto Show attendees and Metro riders will receive $1 off by showing their ticket or Metro pass.
Other outdoor ice skating rinks in the area are located in Pershing Square, Santa Monica and Redondo Beach.
