Former daycare owner Ruiz sentenced in child molestation case
Former daycare owner Tito Ruiz, 66, was sentenced to eight years in state prison today after being convicted of molesting two young girls, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Jurors deliberated for less than two hours before convicting Ruiz on Oct. 5 of two counts of lewd acts on a child under 14. Ruiz and his wife operated the Ruiz Family Daycare.
The girls were ages 4 and 6 at the time of the molestation.
