Burglary reported at Nicky Hilton's home

HOLLYWOOD - Nicky Hilton reported today that her home in the Hollywood Hills was burglarized.

Los Angeles police confirmed they were investigating a burglary, but released no other information.

It was unclear what time the burglary may have happened. According to TMZ.com, someone working at the house on Sierra Alta Way noticed something was wrong. Among the missing items were a laptop computer and some Lalique crystal, the Web site reported.

Lalique make figurines and other objets d'art.

Nicky Hilton, 26, a clothing designer, is the younger sister of Paris Hilton and the granddaughter of hotel magnate Barron Hilton.

Her sister, Paris Hilton, and several other young celebrities have been burglarized by members of a group known as the "Bling Ring'' or "Burglar Bunch.'' Several alleged members of the youthful burglary crew have been arrested and pleaded not guilty.

They allegedly used celebrity gossip sites and other Web-based tools to track the whereabouts and residences of their victims and, in some cases, got in through unlocked doors.
