Atwater Village camper fire claims unidentified victims
The burned body of two adults were discovered inside a parked camper in Atwater Village Wednesday after the vehicle caught fire, authorities said.
The fire in the 3300 block of North San Fernando Road was reported at 2:28 a.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott.
The first victim, whose gender was not immediately apparent, was badly burned, Scott said. Fire crews later found a second body identified as male according to Scott. An investigation was under way this morning to determine the cause of the blaze.
