West Hollywood woman competes on 'The Biggest Loser'

A West Hollywood radio sales executive will be part of what NBC is calling the heaviest cast yet on "The Biggest Loser," whose ninth season begins Tuesday.

Stephanie Anderson and her mother, Patti Anderson, a business owner who lives in Lafayette in the San Francisco Bay area, are among the 11 two-member family teams competing in the weight loss series.

The cast also includes the heaviest contestant in series history, 526-pound Michael Ventrella, a Chicago disc jockey, and twin brothers James and John Crutchfield of Orlanda, Fla., whose combined weight is nearly 1,000 pounds, according to NBC.

The series will begin for the first time with weigh-ins in the contestants' hometowns.

The first challenge the teams will face is riding a stationary bicycle 26.2 miles, the distance of a marathon.
