Armed robbers who hit Paramount pizzeria at large

PARAMOUNT — Two armed robbers who robbed a Paramount pizzeria Friday night were at large today, authorities said.

Five employees and one customer were in the Little Caesar's pizzeria in the 6600 block of Somerset Boulevard, at the time of the robbery, said Lt. Minh Dinh of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lakewood Station.

No gunfire was reported and no one was injured, but the robbers got into cash registers and a safe, Dinh said.

The robbers escaped with about $200 in cash, said Sgt. Sergio Murillo of the sheriff's Lakewood Station.

A customer was also robbed of a wallet and a phone, it was reported.

One of the suspects was described as a black male, about 6 feet 1, 180 pounds, and wearing a beanie cap, the other was a Hispanic male about 5 feet 8, 140 pounds, Murillo said.

Both carried handguns and one of them was wearing a mask, he added.
