AIDS foundation's clinics to provide free sexual-health services
AIDS Healthcare Foundation opened a pair of Men's Wellness Centers in the Southland today to provide free sexual-health services, including HIV and sexually transmitted disease testing.
One clinic was opened at the AHF Westside Healthcare Center, 99 N. La Cienega Blvd., Beverly Hills, and the other at AHF's Magic Johnson Clinic at Carl Bean House, 2146 W. Adams Blvd., Los Angeles.
"As AHF grows its health care services, we are proud to offer two new targeted Men's Wellness Centers in the L.A. area,'' said Mindy Middleton, deputy director of the AHF Public Health Division.
``AHF has always strived to create innovative strategies in our fight against HIV/AIDS, and since the start of the MWC program five years ago, we have discovered that if you offer men a convenient place to be tested and treated for STDs they will begin to address their sexual health needs as part of their routine health care.''
AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the largest global AIDS organization, provides medical care and services to more than 120,000 individuals in 22 countries worldwide.
The Beverly Hills clinic will operate from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Monday and Thursday. The Los Angeles location will be open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays.
No appointments are required.
