Big rig overturns on Pomona Freeway
A big rig overturned today on the Pomona (60) Freeway, blocking an on-ramp and one lane during morning traffic and leading to a SigAlert, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash was reported at 6:17 a.m. on the southbound Azusa Avenue on-ramp to the eastbound 60, said CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos.
"Injuries were reported, but the [number and] conditions are unknown," Villalobos said.
Villalobos said the truck, which was loaded with some type of paper product, was blocking the on-ramp and the far right lane.
"Thankfully, there have been no reports of fuel leaking or anything like that," he said.
A SigAlert was declared by the CHP at 6:37 a.m. for an unknown duration.
The crash appeared to be a solo-vehicle incident.
An investigation into its cause was underway.
