Man, 1-year-old wounded in Compton shooting hospitalized
A man and a one-year-old child wounded in a shooting in Compton were hospitalized today, a sheriff's lieutenant said.
The pair was shot about 9:40 p.m. Sunday at North Wilmington Avenue and West 137th Street, said Lt. Raymond Enriquez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department's Compton Station.
Both victims were taken to a hospital, Enriquez said.
Their severity of their wounds was not released, but a sergeant at the Compton sheriff's station said that "both were OK."
A motive for the attack was not known. No information about the relationship of the victims or the gender of the child was currently unavailable.
