Man hospitalized after being stabbed during Chula Vista gang fight

A man was hospitalized today after being stabbed on the side of his abdomen during a fight between rival street gangs in Chula Vista, police said.
The man was drinking alcohol with fellow gang members at a home near Ash Avenue and F Street around 5 p.m. Monday when the group was challenged by members of a rival gang, Chula Vista police told The San Diego Union-Tribune.
The man, who was expected to survive, was refusing to cooperate with police, according to the newspaper.
