Bell Gardens shooting under investigation

An investigation was under way today into the shooting death of a man in Bell Gardens.
The shooting was reported outside a residence in the 6800 block of Ira Avenue at 10:28 p.m. Wednesday, said Bell Gardens police Sgt. Ruben Musquiz. The shooting victim was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead, he said.
Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide detectives were assisting Bell Gardens police in the investigation. Musquiz urged anyone with information about the shooting to call the sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
