Vin Scully released from hospital after fall at home

WEST HILLS - Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully was released from a hospital today after falling at his home and bumping his head.

The 82-year-old Scully told club vice president of communications Josh Rawitch that he got up from bed too quickly, fell and bumped his head, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Scully was admitted to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center Thursday night and remained there for observation overnight and was released today, the Times reported.

Scully is expected to be at the Dodgers Camelback Ranch training complex in Glendale, Ariz. this weekend to broadcast the Dodgers' exhibition game Sunday against the Cleveland Indians, Rawitch said.
