San Fernando Valley burglars posed as exterminators to steal

Los Angeles police detectives have busted an alleged burglary ring they say stole millions of dollars in electronics and jewelry from luxury homes in the San Fernando Valley.

Lt. Alan Hamilton said Thursday that the suspects scouted out homes for days and sometimes wore respirators to enter homes that were tented for pest extermination to steal big ticket items like flat-screen TVs, tools and computers.

The investigation centers on 35-year-old twins Karisa Kay and Kristina Kay, who have been arrested and charged with burglary within the past year, and 40-year-old Steven C. Miller, who is in custody.

Hamilton says the ring stole stole more than $750,000 worth of items from one home and is responsible for at least 15 other burglaries.
