Electric cars rolling into showrooms soon cheaper than expected

The electric car has turned a corner. For the first time, a mass market electric car went on sale in Japan. It is the all electric family car, the i-MiEV from Mitsubishi.

Also last week, Nissan announced the price of the all electric Leaf will be $32,000.

Today, some Southern California electric car advocates are touring the Nissan Leaf plant in Tennessee.
