On top of shopping the wide variety of offerings, the event boasts free workshops, an eco-lounge, and two cafes featuring some of L.A.’s best restaurants and gourmet food trucks. Watch a video about the show:

I was so happy to hear this interview . . . I literally stopped in and gave Jin Kim a hug! Common Thread is one of many unique boutiques in South Pasadena. It's what we want to see more of here. And happily, it's what we're getting more of here . . . because we have a small-town sense of community and a love for brave souls like Jin who hang their shingle out and go it alone. (No big brand support here - this is a woman with a talent and a dream that she can craft a business from it.) Thanks to the organizers of Unique LA and thanks to KPCC for airing the interview. And apologies to those who think this is a plug. It is. I'm a Chamber of Commerce Director. And this kind of airtime for what we're doing in an old-fashioned small-town really does thrill me.
