3 local high school teams headed to National Science Bowl

Teams of students from North Hollywood High School, Arcadia High School and the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies will be in Washington D.C. Thursday to compete in the National Science Bowl.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power sponsors two of the regional competitions in which the final teams were chosen, said Walter Zeisl of the DWP. The five-member teams will be the nation's capitol through Monday, he said.

The National Science Bowl is the nation's largest science competition and the only one sponsored by a federal agency.
