Two Los Angeles police officers responding to a robbery were involved in a collision in Silver Lake, but no one was believed to be seriously hurt.
The collision at Melrose and Virgil Avenues was reported at 9:53 p.m. Monday, and two officers assigned to the Rampart Station and the other driver were taken to hospitals to be checked out, authorities said.
"A black-and-white was responding Code 3 with lights and siren," Los Angeles police Sgt. Egon Keil of the Central Traffic Division said. "Two officers and the other driver went to hospitals. We're looking for witnesses."
Keil said the officers' injuries were "moderate, nothing serious."
None of the names of the people involved was made public.
The officers were dispatched to a robbery-in-progress call at Virgil and Lockwood avenues, but Keil had no more information about that reported crime.
