Man fatally shot at Wilmington bar

A man was fatally shot at a bar in Wilmington, and three people were in custody today, police said.

The shooting in the Foc'sle Bar at 400 N. Avalon Blvd. was reported about 10:40 p.m. Monday, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Mark Jauregui of the Harbor Station.

A video crew at the scene reported paramedics trying to resuscitate the victim, whose name was unavailable early today. He was declared dead at a hospital, Jauregui said.

Shortly after the shooting, sheriff's deputies stopped a car in the 19000 block of Laurel Park Road in the Rancho Dominguez area and detained three people, according to Jauregui and sheriff's Lt. Joseph Dempsey of the Carson Station.

The three remained were in custody at 4 a.m., Jauregui said.
