Woman killed in Koreatown hit-and-run

A hit-and-run driver fatally struck a woman crossing a Koreatown street, police said today.

The fatality on westbound Olympic Boulevard at Manhattan Place occurred about 9:30 p.m. Monday, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Mike Huff of the West Traffic Division.

The name of the dead woman was unavailable early today.

Witnesses told police the suspect vehicle was a tan or silver-colored sedan, last seen headed north on Saint Andrews Place, Huff said.
