Chatsworth man to be booked for growing marijuana after making emergency call

A Chatsworth man who made an emergency call because of an unspecified medical problem is expected to be booked on suspicion of cultivating marijuana.

Firefighters found more than 800 pot plants growing in a home in the 10400 block of Andora Avenue yesterday evening when they arrived there on a call, according to Los Angeles Sgt. David Neville of the Devonshire Station.

Paramedics took the man to a hospital after the 5:40 p.m. call, but it was unclear what was the matter with him, or if he had been booked for a crime by early today.
