Jaguar driver rescued after driving off precipice
A 22-year-old Jaguar driver who swerved to avoid a deer on Kanan Dume Road and went off a precipice was rescued virtually unscathed today.
The car overturned and went some 300 feet down a steep grade south of Newton Canyon Road shortly after midnight, and the driver was pulled up to the road in a litter basket about 3 a.m., according to an On Scene camera crew.
Rescuers told On Scene it was a miracle the driver did not die.
The driver, whose name was unavailable, was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
The car was left where it came to rest.
