Porn actor charged with murder in attack at Van Nuys warehouse

VAN NUYS — A porn actor who police say killed a co-worker and slashed two others at a Van Nuys warehouse was charged today with murder and five counts of attempted murder, prosecutors said.

Stephen Clancy Hill, 34, who is still at large, allegedly killed Herbert Hin Wong, 30, of Van Nuys, by stabbing him in the abdomen Tuesday night at an Ultima DVD warehouse near Van Nuys Airport.

Eric Jover, owner of the company, today announced a $20,000 reward for information leading to Hill's arrest, according to the Ultima DVD website.

Hill, who appeared in porn videos under the name Steve Driver, apparently had been living at the warehouse-style office in the 7600 block of Hayvenhurst Avenue and was about to be fired and evicted, according to police and broadcast reports.

Wong also performed in videos under the name ``Tom Dong,'' according to Ultima DVD, and appeared in at least two productions with Hill.

"Tom's heroism a few days ago enabled us to escape with our lives, and his sacrifice will not go unheard,'' Jover said on the company's website.

The two victims who survived the attack have not been identified.

Hill is black and about 6 feet tall. He is believed to be driving a blue Toyota RAV4, license 5YTC423.

In 1999, Hill, who is from Riverdale, Md., was convicted of assault with a firearm for threatening to kill a University of Maryland college professor for not giving him an "A," the Washington Post reported.
